About My Decline-in-Value Notice
If you received a NOTICE OF REVIEW OF ASSESSED VALUE or NOTICE OF ASSESSED VALUE CHANGE, and you are satisfied with the results of your decline-in-value review, no further action is necessary. Your 2009-2010 taxes will be based on the 2009 ASSESSED VALUE indicated on the notice.
If you believe the market value of your property on January 01, 2009, is less than the 2009 ASSESSED VALUE indicated on the notice, you can file a
Decline-in-Value Reassessment Application
with the Assessor’s Office. Applications are accepted from January 01, 2009, through December 31, 2009.
To further protect your right of review for the current year, you may also file a formal decline-in-value appeal with the
Assessment Appeals Board
starting July 02, 2009, through November 30, 2009.
