This item contains information on various types of secured real properties in Los Angeles County, including government-owned parcels. It is produced annually in July as the basis for property taxes. Records are in order by Assessor's Identification Number (Mapbook-Page-Parcel). This item is available on 3480 cartridge tape, microfiche, or CD/DVD.

Tape

Tape is 38K BPI, IBM standard label, EBCDIC Format.
Full set = approximately 8 tapes.
Subsets are available if the parcels are specified by Tax Rate Area (TRA), incorporated cities or Assessor's Mapbook Numbers. You will receive an extract of only the records necessary to provide the mapbooks or area that you have requested.
Tapes are available for a rental period of 10 business days.

Microfiche

Information on microfiche is a simplified version of the tape. The microfiche does not contain all of the information found on the tape for each parcel; only taxable parcels are included.

Microfiche has a reduction ratio of 48X.
Obtainable only in an entire set, one set = Number of microfiche necessary to hold entire file (approximately 2,200 fiche; size may change from year to year).
