How to Order Assessor Information
To obtain the informational item(s) you desire, you must complete and forward the Order Form and Agreement with a check to:

Note: The agreement must be signed by someone authorized to purchase or rent this data. If there is any question regarding the validity of the signature, the order will be held until the question is resolved. Specify item name, medium, quantity, and tape name (where applicable) on the spaces allowed. If there are other specifications required such as Assessor's Identification Numbers or outline maps, write them on a separate sheet of paper and attach to the agreement.
Please study the catalog carefully. While many of these items contain similar information, data included on one medium may not be present in another. It is important that you evaluate these formats carefully to determine which will best meet your requirements.
Please indicate on the agreement if you wish record description documentation beyond that which is included in the sales catalog.
The agreement also requires a statement of intended use of the information to be supplied. Any and all information in the original form provided to the customer under this agreement is for the use of the customer only and is not to be conveyed in such original form to any firm, agency, or individual.

Payments are to be made to Los Angeles County Assessor directly via cash, money order, cashier's check, or personal check.
All fees are payable before deliveries are made. Payments may be made in person in Room 304, Accounting Department or by mail. Cash payments should be made in person; personal checks (preferably with a driver's license number) may be mailed, but an additional time period might be required for verification.
(For personal checks delivered in person, extra time required for verification may be avoided if you present a picture ID and/or a check guarantee card.) Make checks payable to "L.A. COUNTY ASSESSOR".
Please indicate your choice of delivery when completing the agreement. Failure to do so may result in delays in the delivery.
Orders may require up to four weeks to process, depending upon the availability of the requested item and/or the availability of computer time. Because of these factors, among others, completion/delivery dates cannot be guaranteed. Orders are processed in the order of receipt.
If the order is to be picked up, the Property Data Sales staff will notify you when it is ready.
The Assessor's Office routinely uses United Parcel Service or U.S. Mail for delivery if the order is to be mailed or shipped. Other methods of delivery, e.g., Federal Express or Express Mail by the U.S. Postal Service, may be used if the customer is willing to pay for the additional cost.
Refunds will not be given for information or services provided unless the Property Data Sales Desk has incorrectly processed the order. Any questions concerning refunds should be directed to the Assessor's Accounting Unit at 213.974.3125 or Property Data Sales at 213.974.3363.

If the Assessor's information presented in this catalog does not meet your needs, and you have received the information you desire for Los Angeles County previously, please review your records to determine if you are referring to a record/file/report from the Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office or from the Auditor-Controller's Office.
